The per game average in the SEC was 75.7 thousand vs. 69.6 thousand in the Big Ten. Actually the average per game attendance in the Big ten declined in 2006 by almost 3000 fans.
9. Last year’s Super Bowl MVP was from the SEC – Peyton Manning
8. The defending national champion is from the SEC, Florida. Anyone remember who they beat in the BCS national championship game last year? Hmm
7. This year there are 263 players on NFL rosters from SEC schools vs. 234 from Big Ten schools. There are 5 SEC schools that have over 30 players active in the NFL. The Big Ten only has one school with over 30 players in the NFL, Ohio State.

Hum let me think about this? Would I rather have a degree from someplace like NU, MI, Purdue, WI, IL or any of the other great schools in the Big Ten? Or would I rather have a degree from MS, MSU, USC or one of those other fine places? Do you guys even read down there yet?
We're not talking academics here, buddy. We're talking football. Besides, Vandy is a better academic school than every Big 10 school.
The mighty SEC lost two out of three bowl games to the Big Ten last year, enough said.

Actually SEC schools perform as well if not a little better than Big Ten schools academically:
University of Alabama - More USA Today Academic All Americans attend The University of Alabama than any college in the nation - 4 in 2007, 24 over the last five years.
Vanderbilt – US News and World Reports ranks Vanderbilt 19th on the list of best universities in the nation. (Northwestern is the only school in the Big 10 that ranks higher at 14th)
University of South Carolina - U.S. News & World Report's ranks South Carolina No. 1 in the nation for its undergraduate international business program (fall 2007) and No. 2 overall—for its graduate IB program. (spring 2007).
University of Tennessee - Forbes Inc. ranked UT's MBA program 9th among public programs in the nation.
University of Florida – ranked 49th overall by U.S. News & World Report among both private and public National Universities (Ohio State, 57 - Purdue, 64 - Minnesota, 71 Michigan State, 72 - Indiana, 75)
University of Georgia – ranked 59th overall by U.S. News & World Report among both private and public National Universities
Oh...and did I mention that WE OWN THE BIG TEN ON THE GRID IRON!!!
And yes we do read (most of us anyway)
It was not even pointed out that the University of Florida beat Ohio State in basketball for the national title also.
patrick - take a look at the US News rankings.
The lowest ranked university in the Big Ten is Indiana, as 75th. There are only three schools in the SEC ranked higher than the Big Ten's worst school (Vandy, UGA, and Florida)
Schools in the SEC are glorified hight schools compared to schools in the Big 10.
