A Healthy McFadden is the best RB in all of football, sorry LaDainian

After watching tonight’s performance by Darren McFadden I am speechless. In case you missed it McFadden rushed for 323 yards against South Carolina and he seemed to not even break a sweat doing it. With this performance and the many many other amazing performances we have seen from him over the last 2 and a half years we must begin to ask, Is Darren McFadden the best RB in SEC History? I don’t yet know if he is but its time to start the debate. What makes DMac so great is the fact that his best games come against his toughest competition. Against Arkansas' 4 cupcakes this year they were his worst performances but against stiff SEC competition he becomes superman.

Ask yourself this, if LaDainian Tomlinson, Reggie Bush, or Shaun Alexander would have played in the game tonight do you think they would have had 323 yards rushing? I don’t think so. Forget about college football DMac is the best RB in college football by far, not debatable. He is the best RB in all of football including anyone that is currently earning millions of dollars to run the football in the NFL.

Here's the order of SEC's all-time best backs in my opinion: H. Walker (greatest college player ever?), Bo Jackson, McFadden, then maybe Emmitt Smith. I agree that McFadden is the best active running back in all of football right now, including pros when he's healthy.

According to draft "gurus" , McFadden is a better pro prospect then Adrain Peterson and Peterson is probably the best running back in the nfl so I think it is reasonalbe to think McFadden is the best running back in all of football. I thought that after his performance against Alabama earlier this year.

Great new look Toast.

comparing college performance to the NFl is simply idiotic. They probably dont teach a logic course at Arkansas, so I forgive you.

You guys are idiots. Lets use your own reasoning to prove why McFadeen is not the best running back in all of football.

"ask yourself this, if LaDainian Tomlinson, Reggie Bush, or Shaun Alexander would have played in the game tonight do you think they would have had 323 yards rushing?"

At the same coin, does McFadden run for 296 against an NFL D? No. But Peterson did.

Bush put up remarkable numbers in college, but is so far a below average NFL back. Rashaan Sallam, Curtis Enis, Cedric Benson....NFL is littered with college stars who havent cut it at the next elvel.

McFadden has a higher chance of joining there ranks than LT's, Alexander's or Larry Johnsons.

Their is no doubt he could roll out of bed this morning and start for at least 25 teams in the NFL. That is why he is the projected #1 overall pick in the draft that has not been accomplished by a running back in well over 10 years and that is why the draft guys are calling him the best running back prospect in the last 20 years. He does have a higher draft grade then Adrian Peterson.

Jabbar, your reasoning is flawed. Do I think LT would have gotten 320 against SC tonight? Nope. Here's the deal: Most all experts on SEC football name McFadden as good a back as H. Walker, Bo Jackson, and Emmitt Smith (all SEC backs). How did those guys do in the NFL?
